The first two weeks of the nba 2011-12 season have officially been canceled after the players and owners failed to reach an agreement on a new collective bargaining agreement.
Despite meeting between the two sides Monday that lasted approximately eight hours, there was not enough progress made to save the initial portion of the campaign.
To make matters even worse, there are no meetings scheduled between the parties at any point in the foreseeable future. If they keep this up will can kiss the season good bye.

The season is finally set to start next week! I am particularly excited for the season to begin. I am a big Knicks fan and the pick up of Tyson Chandler is sure to bolster the Knicks defense. They also picked up Mike Bibby, whom is sure to bring some veteran experience to their backcourt.
